Delta Group Purchases World’s Biggest Mobile Cone-Crusher
Solution mining and quarrying equipment
Built for the demolition of Melbourne and civil infrastructure company, Delta Group, the 135 ton rail-mounted machine will operate primarily out of Delta's Sunshine plant in Melbourne.

Delta is the master of Australasia largest demolition, managing director, Con Petropoulos, says the machine will open a number of new markets for the company.
"We are involved in a number of major civil infrastructure projects at present and the TC1885 is an ideal machine for those big jobs," said Petropoulos. "We bought an LT140 jaw crusher a few years ago and the TC1885 will work in tandem with this machine.
"It gives us a very high capacity mobile solution for a number of campaigns grinding applications in mining, civil construction and demolition," he said. "The profitability of mobile crushing based on the high crushing capacity, with fewer machines."
CBS Sales and Marketing Director, Brian Court, said the size of the TC1885 should eventually enable it to produce about 1000 tons of crushed stone per hour. "In large crushing industry is generally better. The potential volume of flow of this machine is huge. This capability, combined with its mobility, which gives the TC1885 board.
"A mobile crushing unit can be placed right at the rock where it is needed," said the Court. "The TC1885 can be moved around a mining depending on where it is needed most. This can help eliminate costly double handling of material. "Processing the rock wall will save mining companies a lot of money on fuel and equipment costs and significantly reduce the production cost per tonne of rock. "
Brian Court stated that the TC1885 is the culmination of years of research and development in the crash of technology. "CBS has made cone crushers for the Australian market for the past fifteen years," he said. "The knowledge we have gained during this period allowed us to think much more with this machine. Our design team has spent considerable time ensuring that the machine is able to exploit the enormous stresses involved with such a large cone. "
The TC1885 is powered by a 27-liter 875 hp, twin-turbo, V12 Caterpillar engine. It contains more than 5 tons of liquid when full fuel and hydraulic systems all responsible. The grinding unit of the machine weighs 65 tons on its own.
The setting can range from near side 65mm to 15mm down. Four options are available with power concave openings 500, 360, 240 and 180mm respectively.
Brian Court stated that the potential for the TC1885 in different applications is vast, as the global mining industry seems to increased efficiency and greater production. "The mining industry is seeking ways to consolidate production costs while increasing production capacity to meet future demand," he said.
Brian Court considers that the time to produce each TC1885 will be four months. "The hard work has been done, research and development, we now seek to make a big impact on the Australian market and global with this machine."
